A SUBSTANTIAL increase in the price phone card vendors pay for their cards is expected to have a dramatic affect on the phone card industry.

Yesterday, BTC executives said they had increased the rates at which they sell cards to wholesalers - which in turn caused wholesalers to increase the price for retailers, significantly reducing their profit margin.
